A little more about me.

I am Elton Varela, a native of Sao Tome and realize some work in the field of fashion, being recently recognized by VOGUE ITALIA, where I have some works of VOGUE IT.
A recognition that came after I was already inside the Photus. A company in the business of photography that already exists to some years. In the midst of many difficulties and lack of conditions to work in photography, I know the brothers Peter and Susan Roberts Photus belonging to the company.
These brothers have opened new doors to me and left me for my projects and dreams into practice while I ended up converting to MSI. I hope soon to give my testimony and why you have accepted Jesus as our savior.
It is sad to see people look sideways at someone who speaks in the name of Jesus Christ. I do not follow any religion. More yes to Christ, is to him that I dedicate all my achievements. The team that helps me in the production of my fashion work is almost entirely formed by my brother's faith. With this blog I intend to talk about me and my projects in photography.

Um pouco mais sobre mim.

Sou o Elton Varela, natural de São Tomé, e realizo alguns trabalhos na área da moda, sendo recentemente reconhecido pela VOGUE ITALIA, onde tenho alguns trabalhos da VOGUE IT.
Um reconhecimento que surgiu já depois de eu estar dentro da Photus. Uma empresa no ramo da fotografia que ja existe a alguns anos. No meio de tantas dificuldades e falta de condições para trabalhar na fotografia, conheço os irmãos Pedro e Susana Rodrigues que pertencem à empresa Photus.
Estes meus irmãos abriram-me novas portas e deixaram-me por os meus projectos e sonhos em prática e ao mesmo tempo acabei por me converter ao MSI. Espero para breve dar o meu testemunho e o porque de ter aceitado jesus como o nosso salvador.
É com tristeza que vejo pessoas a olharem de lado para alguém que fale no nome de Jesus Cristo. Não sigo nenhuma religião. Mais sim a Cristo, é a ele que dedico todas as minhas conquistas. A equipa que me ajuda na produção dos meus trabalhos de moda é quase toda ela formada pelos meus irmão da fé. Com este blog pretendo falar de mim e dos meus projectos na fotografia.

Model that surprised me.

When I first saw this girl was a real surprise for me and some people who work in the fashion industry. It is a model of a huge potential and a lovely look. Ace 13H my objective has photographed this angel from heaven. No one was shooting this model that has the name Cassiones.

Quando vi pela primeira esta rapariga foi uma verdadeira surpresa para mim e para algumas pessoas que trabalham na industria da moda. É uma modelo de um enorme potencial e de um olhar encantador. Ás 13H a minha objectiva já fotografava esse anjo dos céus. Foi o 1º shooting desta modelo que tem como sobrenome Cassiones.

Mirrors.

Within my work I have done some photography work for charity. Although several months have been unable to help others, I try every month to give my contribution to a portfolio that you think people have the capacity to move forward in fashion. In recent times my help has been shrinking and all the times I try to help my work is in the middle.
Today I bring here a question that does not please many people. from 4 months, Jesus has been my strength to all. At 5 months ago I went through the most difficult phase of my life was at this point that many people turned their backs on me even those who are called 'public figures'.
I hope soon to talk about my 'delivery' to Jesus as our savior.

Espelhos.

Dentro do meu trabalho do fotografia tenho feito alguns trabalhos de caridade. Embora ter estado alguns meses sem poder ajudar os outros, tento todos os meses a dar o meu contributo com um portfólio a pessoas que ache que têm capacidade para avançar na moda. Nestes últimos tempos a minha ajuda tem sido cada vez mais reduzida e todas a vezes que tento ajudar o meu trabalho fica pelo meio.
Hoje trago para aqui uma questão que não agrada muita gente. desde a 4 meses, Jesus tem sido a minha força para tudo. À 5 meses atrás passei pela fase mais difícil da minha vida, foi neste momento que muitas pessoas me viraram as costas até mesmo aqueles que são chamados de 'figuras públicas'.
Espero para breve falar da minha 'entrega' a jesus como o nosso salvador.

Winning photo book.

Today Face Models received Paula Beatriz, model winner of the photo book "Elton Varela / Photos Visual Communication".
Give visibility to people who have a dream within the concept of fashion photography. Portilho We set up the model in question and give effect to an agency for them / they enter the market, and that can start an agency with less prominence within the fashion industry in Portugal. Damos visibilidade a pessoas que têm um sonho dentro do conceito da fotografia de moda. Montamos o portilho da modelo em causa e damos seguimento a uma agência, para eles/elas entrarem no mercado, sendo que, podem começar por uma agência com menos destaque dentro da indústria da moda em Portugal. Caso o modelo tenha potencial para a moda, vamos vendo a sua revelação por futuros trabalhos.

My vision has never deceived me about things. Today I write about the shooting with the dummy Matthew Duarte Brazil only 19, who recently joined the team Karacter Models - Lisbon. I feel that this young man is a great promise in the fashion world.

2011 began as a year of much recognition. It was the year I received a new model in my work, Stééph 'Narcissus (Pro Models). Thanks to this model my work has evolved considerably since she lived the concept of fashion. It was fantastic to work with the French of Portuguese origin. I am somewhat grateful for the people who contributed to my development as a photographer.

2011

2011 começou por ser um ano de muito reconhecimento. Foi o ano em que recebi uma nova modelo no meu trabalho, a Stééph' Narciso (Pro Models). Graças a esta modelo o meu trabalho evoluiu bastante, visto que, ela vivia o conceito moda. Foi fantástico trabalhar com essa francesa de origem portuguesa. Estou de certa forma grato pelas pessoas que contribuíram para o meu desenvolvimento enquanto fotografo.

The Dutch

My family and personal life has been finding many difficulties such as loneliness of living alone for many years. I created many barriers when it comes to friendships, or just do not give my trust without first realizing that kind of person. I am a very lonely sometimes.
Already a later stage of my work, I met a lady named Carla Paias. This lady came to my job to introduce the concept of Makeup, which was very rewarding for me. She had a knack for doing the work of stylist, joining pieces and recreate ancient concept.
The work that follows is inspired by a Dutch farmer.

A Holandesa.

A minha vida familiar e pessoal conta com inúmeras dificuldades que fui encontrando, como a solidão de viver muitos anos sozinho. Criei varias barreiras no que se refere a amizades, ou seja, não dou logo a minha confiança sem, primeiro, perceber que tipo de pessoa é. Sou uma pessoa por vezes muito solitária.
Já numa fase mais avançada do meu trabalho conheci uma senhora chamada Carla Paias. Esta senhora veio introduzir ao meu trabalho o conceito de Makeup, o que para mim foi muito gratificante. Ela tinha jeito para fazer o trabalho de stylist, juntar peças e recriar conceito antigos.
O trabalho que se segue é inspirado numa agricultora Holandesa.

About me.

I can say that for me, photography is about the reason I live. It is a longstanding passion, having been born about my six years. Beside the nursery where I had walked a gallery. I began to see many exhibitions of painting and photography. That said, I can say that first came the inspiration for the painting and that I, I've been devoting years to come with the plastic arts. One of the biggest prizes in painting that I received was a job at Unicef ​​in Sao Tome, an illustrator of educational books.
With my arrival in Portugal continei to devote myself to painting but with an urge to get me to devote to photography. and so began my career in photography but with a device with a somewhat low quality, and, months later suriram changes in my work equipment, or buy a better quality.
I have won several awards in some garelias Art Pic worldwide.
Shortly after this development of my career came a proposal from Editorial vougue. I am very happy with my recent recognition in vougue since, I have a photograph belonging to the archives of vougue Italy.
For me, all my photographs tell a story about fashion.

How it all began.

I started shooting in late 2008, after recovering from an accident that I almost took his life. After this accident I felt the need to return the arts, since it had been self didacta artist during my childhood, so I felt the need to mess around with color and image. It was then that I discovered the photograph that you have people in my family who worked as models helped this descoberta.A my art comes when I bought a brand Casio digital machine that still works though not much quality. I liked a lot of pictures so I decided to start contacting people making calls to photograph me, being a stage that was not easy, since they came to refuse my invitation because I am black. At first, I felt very bad about it but never gave up my dream. I took many photographs and used photoshop to aperfeiçoamento.Posso always say that this photographic work is my 1st job, because after the publication of these photos many people began to follow my work, I speak of experience with more photographers and models. At the time of the session model that appears in the photos had not even want to shoot, but after this work, she began working with a modeling agency (Face Model). For me it was very rewarding, because my pictures are no longer just stay on my computer but also became part of the book of the model in agência.Esse work was done by myself and a friend of this model and did a make up base. my special thanks to Ana and Inês.
